Design School Kolding is an international talent workshop for the cultivation of Danish design with focus on People, Planet and Play. We work at eye level, believe in equality and respect diversity. With a faculty of 100 employees and a large number of international faculty members, we train 350 students at Bachelor, Master and PhD level, including industrial PhD students.
We engage our students in experimental, practical workshop activities through theory and reflection and through realistic and interdisciplinary projects where the hand and the mind come together in functional and aesthetic design solutions. Based in the city of Kolding, a Unesco Creative City, we are a locally based learning environment that works internationally on matters of global importance.
The Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design, Conservation is an internationally renowned academic research and educational institution within the fields of Architecture, Design and Conservation. With around 1500 students and a faculty of 300 employees the Academy educates to the highest level across a range of BA, MA and PhD programs.
Founded in 1754 The Academy has been in continuous transformation, standing on a rich historical foundation of the danish design tradition looking into the future, seeking continuously to bring solutions to the major challenges, that is shaping our time. Building on the praxis of craft, artistic research and science The Academy educate students and conduct research by partnering with societal actors in order to create change through innovative creativity, technological solutions, ground-breaking research in pursue of noticeable social and environmental impact for the better.
